The launch of The Gym Pod @ 131 Jalan Bukit Merah marked the very first opening of a franchised location. The Gym Pod’s core business is to provide the space, tools and knowledge to help people get better, healthier and happier. While we strive to make people’s fitness journey as convenient and rewarding as possible, we are also dedicated to creating business opportunities for franchisees to succeed.
Why did you want to franchise a Gym Pod?
The Gym Pod was a unique business opportunity that allowed me to earn passive revenue without taking such a large risk, as opposed to something like a real estate investment. I’ve always wanted to run my own business and The Gym Pod gave me a plug and play model to finally pursue it.
What’s been the best part about the franchise process?
Seeing all the hard work you’ve done come to fruition. It was a really fast process, but it was always a cool feeling to see the first day after painting, the equipment getting moved in, etc.
How long did it take for you to set up your franchise?
I first got in contact with the Gym Pod mid-February. Within a month I had signed my franchise agreement and secured my location, with my first day of business starting on 26 April! The whole end-to-end process only took about 2 months which was pretty incredible.
Do you recommend The Gym Pod’s franchise model?
Yes, absolutely. I think the model itself is really simple and can be a great option for someone who is looking to run their own business but may not know where to start. Compared to some of the other franchise models in the industry, this was much more cost-friendly.
The Gym Pod team was very helpful along the way. It’s an innovative idea but it was also really encouraging that they were always open to listening to my ideas.
